NSF funded 26 sites for five-year projects in six cohorts. Each RSI site developed and implemented systemic reform based on six “drivers” -classroom, policy, resource, stakeholder/community, attainment and equity-developed by NSF for all of its systemic reform programs.

RSI Indicator Report presented at 2006 AERA Meeting [April 2006]

The report presents impact and highlights of National Science Foundation’s (NSF) rural science and mathematics education reform in 26 Rural Systemic Initiative (RSI) sites. The authors designed and developed a RSI evaluative study framework based on six education reform drivers (classroom, policy, resource, and stakeholders/ community, attainment, and equity) developed by NSF.
