Welcome to Urban Education Data & Evaluation Network (UE-DEN)

Welcome to UE-DEN. This web site supports our efforts to build an urban school data and evaluation infrastructure and enhance communication among data managers, evaluators, PIs/PDs, and research groups. Specific objectives are:

  • To achieve high quality mathematics and science education for ALL students
  • To promote a communication network among urban school practitioners, researchers, and the federal government
  • To share knowledge-base in key indicator data management and evaluation
  • To promote sustained urban data continuums
  • To share cutting-edge "tools of the trade"
  • To share and disseminate best practice models

Please feel free to share best practices, study findings, and current issues through the Open Forum, and disseminate your publications relevant to urban education, key indicator data, and evaluation.

Currently the UE-DEN web site presents all of the researchers’ and practitioners’ papers, handouts, and presentation materials from the last three annual urban data and evaluation workshops and conferences, hosted by Systemic Research, Inc. and supported by the National Science Foundation.

    The 2004 Workshop was held at the Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite in Fish Camp, CA on March 17-19, 2004.
    More than 100 participants including PI/PDs, Data Managers, and Program Evaluators from 51 different CPMSA, USI, and USP sites, urban education researchers, technical assistance providers, National Science Foundation (NSF) and Systemic Research staff came together to learn about and discuss data management and evaluation issues .....[more]
